Member-only story
I wanted to be in the operating room with her.
But only her husband was allowed.
We had discussed and planned it.
I was supposed to be there with her.
My sister and I rarely spent time apart growing up. We did everything together.
She is what I call high-energy…
Day 1- She tells you about an idea.
Day 2- She does what she talked about just yesterday like she is a pro.
Day 3- You get so mesmerized with her results…you attempt to do it….then think….how on earth is she doing this… This is hard.
Day 4- She is talking about something new that she will do tomorrow.
That’s my sister.
So when the nurses pulled her away in the hospital, she turned back and looked at me. I could tell she was afraid but there was nothing I could do to comfort her.
I went back to the waiting room and wept with my mom because I felt so helpless.
After 2 hours, she came out of the operating room. She was holding an exact replica of herself.
Her first baby.
Oh she also did pregnancy like a boss!
