Having no other social media accounts that I am active on, and just joining Medium for the writing challenge, I found myself sucked in the social media aspect of Medium.

How Medium operates is the exact same thing as Instagram. At the end of the day, Instagram, FB, Twitter, Medium and almost any crowd sourced platform is a business. They have just mastered the art of hiding that fact from the users.
